Constantino Velasquez, 75, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, at his home in Lexington with his family by his side. He was born April 12, 1941, in Honduras, to Sixto and Pastora (Cruz) Velasquez. He attended school in Honduras. He was united in marriage to Alba Estella Martinez in Honduras. Five children were blessed to this union. Constantino immigrated to the United States in January of 2007. He came to Lexington to be near family and started working at Tyson Fresh Meats. He was very proud of his job, and enjoyed working at the plant. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, and exercising. His passion was his work, but his family was his love. He will be so very missed. Constantino is survived by his children; Sixto Rene’ Velasquez of New York, Ricardo Alexis Velasquez of Honduras, Elizabeth and her husband Gumercindo Muniz of Lexington, Nebraska, and Sandra Velasquez of Lexington, Nebraska; one brother, Raul Velasquez of Honduras; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alba; and son, Constantino. It was Constantino’s wishes for cremation. There will be no local services. In the future his family will take his body to Honduras to be inurned next to his beloved wife, Alba. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
