Jamie Lynn Riley Bowden, 38, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at her residence in Grand Junction. She was born February 10, 1971, in South Charleston, West Virginia, to Gerald W. & Geraldine M. (Whitley) Riley. Jamie graduated from Sumner High School with the class of 1989, and went on to receive her degree in nursing at nursing college in North Platte, Nebraska. She had practiced nursing for the past 19 years in the states of Nebraska and Colorado. Jamie is survived by her three children: Courtney L. Bowden of Grand Junction, Colorado; Lacey Ann Bowden and Tyler Layne Bowden both of Sumner, Nebraska. Her former husband: Donald Bowden of Sumner, Nebraska Mother: Geraldine M. Allen of Eddyville, Nebraska Father: Gerald W. Riley, Sr. of Southington, Connecticut Brothers: Gerald W. Riley and wife Shawn of Lexington, Nebraska; David Whitley & Robert Thompson both of Pennsylvania Stepbrother: Rich & Liz Allen of Broken Bow, Nebraska One sister: Lisa (Riley) Rheam of Pennsylvania Three Aunts: Julie Kuhn of Halifax, Pennsylvania, Virginia White of Blue Rapids, Kansas and Jacqueline Whitley of Kearney, Nebraska Uncle: Clifford (Patty) Whitley of Ralston, Nebraska Jamie’s body was cremated.There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Sumner, East Campus with Pastor A.L. Cole officiating. Inurnment will be held in Westerville Cemetery at Westerville, Nebraska. Lunch will be held at the Eddyville Community Center prior to the Inurnment at the cemetery.
