Kathleen E. Anderson, 92, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Cozad Community Cozad. She was born August 3, 1923, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Orlando “Buck” and Myrtle Anne (Ransdell) Norris. She lived her entire life in Lexington. Kathleen was a 1942 graduate of Lexington High School. She loved music and won many singing awards while in high school. She was also quite accomplished in playing the French horn. Kathleen was united in marriage to James Anderson on March 4, 1946, in Norton, Kansas. Three children were blessed to this marriage; Connie, David and Jennifer. She was a member and enjoyed being involved in LexChristian Church activities, and Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to crochet. Kathleen worked at Monroe Auto in Cozad for 20 years. Kathleen’s motto always was, “Don’t ever leave the house without your makeup on or curlers in your hair”! She was quite the lady. Survivors include two daughters; Connie Wolfe of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jennifer Anderson of Lincoln, Nebraska; one sister, Virgene Fagot of Roanoke, Texas; three grandchildren; David (Kristi) Harrington of Mineola, Iowa, Corey Harrington of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Kristi Nichols of Lincoln, Nebraska; six great-grandchildren, Drake, Pierce, Easton, Aaron, Cooper, and Addison; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family wished to express their sincere thank you to the staff at Brookdale for the care given to Kathleen. You were like family to us. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son, David; two brothers, Merle, and her twin, Kenneth; and one sister, Lelah Schrack. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel with Pastor Daniel Sauer officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Memorials are suggested to LexChristian Church or Lexington Volunteer Fire Department.
