Averelle Daleness, 49, of Kearney, Nebraska, former Lexington resident, passed away suddenly Sunday, February 28, 2016, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.
He was born December 1, 1966, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Arthur and Vera (Plenty Chief) Daleness. He graduated from Doniphan High School with the class of 1985. He was united in marriage to Patricia Day in 2001, in Lexington. The family moved to Kearney in 2005.
Averelle worked for Mike Sculley when he lived in Lexington as a Mechanic. He was a Powerlifter in High School. He raced cars at Dawson County Raceway, and loved Nascar.
Survivors include his wife; Patricia of Kearney, Nebraska; sons, Miguel (Krista Jorgensen) Daleness of Kearney, Nebraska, Nicholas (Shelby LaBelle) Daleness of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Kenneth (JaCee) Lewis of Red Cloud, Nebraska; daughters, Mary (Zach Cole) Tillemans of Kearney, Nebraska, Colleen Lewis of Kearney, Nebraska, and Dawn (Josh) Hock of Hastings, Nebraska; two brothers, Finley Plenty Chief and his fiance’ Glenda Aguilar of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Fenton (Tamara) Daleness of Lexington, Nebraska; one sister, Dellarae Daleness of Lexington, Nebraska; stepfather, Swede Roberts of Lexington, Nebraska; fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Averelle was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Verly Emerson Daleness.
Visitation in Lexington will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2016, from 3-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington.
A Service will be held at Ralph Wells Complex in White Shield, North Dakota with Burial in the Plenty Chief Family Cemetery at White Shield later in the week.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
