Angela Rivera De Dimas, 88, of Overton, Nebraska, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016, at her home in Overton, surrounded by her loving family who cared for her during her illness.
Angela was born September 28, 1927, in Chalchupa, El Salvador, to Genero and Damina (Ayala) Rivera. Angela moved to the United States many years ago, and obtained her status as a U.S. Citizen. She moved to Lexington/Overton many years ago, to be near her family.
She worked at Mt. Carmel Home in Kearney for 10 years. She developed many close relationships with the residents and employees alike.
Angela enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being with her family.
She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include two sons; Jorge (Elba) Dimas of Jefferson, Georgia; Jose (Sonia) Dimas of Kearney, Nebraska; four daughters, Martha (Juan) Renderos of Overton, Nebraska, Ana (Marcos) Espinosa of Madera, California, Angela Rivera of Lexington, Nebraska, and Rosario Chavez of Sacramento, California; twenty grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; other relatives, and friends.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with Bishop Steve Horton officiating.
Burial will be in the Overton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.
