Lila Lea Lerdall-Urban

Lila L. Lerdall-Urban, 69, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at her home in Lexington. Lila was born June 15, 1946, in Elwood, Nebraska, to Elmer and Marguerite (Nelsen) Stoll. She attended school and graduated from Elwood High School with the class of 1964. She then went onto further her education at beauty school in Kearney. Following her marriage, she worked for Roberts Cattle Company, and then helped Dennis in the family business. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Dennis Lerdall, on July 8, 1967, in Elwood, Nebraska. Two daughters were blessed to this marriage; Katie and Heidi. Dennis passed away December 12, 1987. Lila would find love again and married Vince Urban on December 29, 1997, in Las Vegas. Vince would become the “best” stepdad to the girls, and loved them like they were his own. He passed away May 10, 2011. Lila enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, embroidery, going to sporting events, and the casinos. She loved having lunch with her high school girlfriends, and Duck’s Unlimited was near and dear to her heart. When she was married to Dennis, they belonged to Dance Club, where they made lifelong friendships. Lila is survived by her daughters, Katie Lerdall of Lexington, Nebraska, and Heidi (Shawn) Church of Lexington, Nebraska; one brother, Don (Marcia) Stoll of Grass Valley, California; two granddaughters, Rylee & Jacie Church; brother-in-law; Terry (Susie) Lerdall of Elwood, Nebraska; and sister-in-law, Karen Lerdall-Hays of Holdrege, Nebraska; as well as several nieces, one nephew, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husbands, Lila was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Reverend Dyton Owen officiating. Cremation will take place following services. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Elwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 25, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to Special Olympics or the donor’s choice.
