Clara Ann “Stupe” Glassmeyer, 89, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Plum Creek Healthcare Community in Lexington.
Clara was born February 18, 1926, in Sholes, Nebraska, to John and Fannie (Mattingly) Ream. She attended school at Wayne, Nebraska.
On November 30, 1945, she was united in marriage to Merle Glassmeyer in Wayne, Nebraska. Four children were blessed to this marriage; Michael, Edward, Merle, Jr., and Karen.
Clara is survived by her husband of 70 years, Merle Glassmeyer of Lexington, Nebraska; children, Edward (Pat) Glassmeyer of Denver, Colorado; Merle, Jr. (Kamie) Glassmeyer of Lexington, Nebraska; and, Karen (David) Jurincie of Denver, North Carolina; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael; two sisters, Eva and Margaret; and one brother, John.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne, Nebraska with Pastor Douglas Shelton officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 11, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
