Nora B. Tubbs, 95, of Broken Bow, formerly Callaway, Nebraska, died Friday, December 25, 2015, at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
She was born January 3, 1920, to Charley & Gracie (Stivers) Lloyd in Callaway, Nebraska. She attended grade school in Callaway and graduated from Callaway High School. She then went on to Normal Training School in Kearney.
On January 22, 1938, she married Clarence H. Tubbs in Boise, Idaho. They enjoyed over 60 years of marriage. Clarence preceded her in death in 2003.
Nora and Clarence farmed for a number of years in the Callaway area. She taught school in Custer County for 18 years.
She enjoyed cooking and having family gatherings.
Survivors include her sons, Jack (Donna) Tubbs of Kearney, Nebraska, Charley (Reita) Lloyd of Callaway, Nebraska, and a daughter, Doris (Marvin) Reineke of Burwell, Nebraska, also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at the Callaway United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Chad Boling, officiating.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Callaway, Nebraska.
Visitation will be prior to the service.
