Kenneth Thomas, 91, of Clay Center, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Medicalodge in Clay Center.
He was born April 23, 1924, in Aurora, Nebraska, to Leo Charles and Eva Mable (Erritt) Thomas.
Kenneth was raised in Nebraska. He served in the United States Army in the South Pacific during WWII. He married Wilma Dodge on November 2, 1946.
Kenneth worked as a railroad agent for Rock Island Railroad at Clyde, Clifton, Morganville, and Clay Center. He retired from St. Louis-Southwestern Railway Company. He was a member of Clay Center United Methodist Church and the Clyde V.F.W.
Survivors include his wife; Wilma Thomas of Clay Center, Kansas; three sons, Kenneth (Karla) Thomas of Cedar Park, Texas, Lynn (Connie) Thomas of Riley, Kansas, and Alan (Janice) Thomas of Box Elder, South Dakota; nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Thomas of Lakewood, California, Eugene Thomas of Callaway, Nebraska, and Donald Thomas of Long Beach, California; one sister, Darlene Jackson of Encino, California; along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Opal Hetrick.
A Graveside Service with full military honors will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Callaway, Nebraska with Reverend Chad Boling officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
