Alejandra “Alex” Zamora, 32, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015, at Lexington, the result of a pedestrian/car accident.
She was born April 6, 1983, in Villachuato, Michoacan, Mexico, to Ubaldo and Leticia (Saldana) Hernandez. Alex moved to Lexington when she was 7 years old. She graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 2000.
Alex was united in marriage to Mario Zamora on June 6, 2001, in Lexington. Three little boys were blessed to this marriage, Mario Adrian, Julian and Esteban. Her family was her joy, and her boys kept her busy and happy.
Alex worked as a Teller and later in the New Accounts Department at Home Federal Savings & Loan in Lexington for 11 years, and was presently working in accounting for the Lexington Housing Authority.
She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed shopping, especially for purses and jewelry, going to Mexico to visit her grandparents, and being with her family. Alex was a joy to be around, always smiling, and always caring for others. A special Angel has gone home. She will be missed.
Survivors include her husband; Mario Zamora of Lexington, Nebraska; three sons, Mario Adrian, Julian, and Esteban all at home; her parents, Jesus & Leticia Hernandez; brothers, Jorge and Roger Hernandez both of Lexington, Nebraska; two sisters, Cindy Arredondo of Lexington, Nebraska, and Elizabeth Hernandez of Grand Island, Nebraska; her paternal and maternal grandparents from Mexico; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Jose Chavez celebrating.
Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 4, 2015, from 3-7 p.m. with Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
