Camille Lahm, 93, of Lincoln, Nebraska, former Lexington resident, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Sumner Place Nursing Home in Lincoln.
She was born August 10, 1922, in Wilber, Nebraska, to John and Olga (Bodlak) Kolman. Camille graduated from Beatrice High School with the class of 1940. Following graduation she worked at the Beatrice State Home for 7 years.

The couple moved to Grand Island for two years where Camille worked in the glove factory. In 1951, they moved to Lexington where they opened the Dairy Queen. Russ passed away in 1973, and Camille continued to own and operate the business until turning it over to her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Pat, in 1987. Many, many kids through the years worked at the Dairy Queen, many are still friends to this day.
Camille was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was involved in many church activities. She was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed knitting, attending her sons’ and grandchildren’s school activities, and cheering on her beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers and Dallas Cowboys. Her greatest joy, however, was her family and grandchildren.
