Adine L. Wright, 89, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Cozad Community Hospital. Adine was born July 6, 1926, in Ashton, Nebraska to Stanley and Sally (Mendyk) Tesmer. She was a 1944 graduate of Elba High School. She was united in marriage to Keith Wright in 1945, at Paplin, Nebraska. Three children were blessed to this marriage; Ron, Joan and Gary. Adine and Keith moved to a farm near Lexington in 1945, and then to Lexington in 1955. She began working at Tri-County Hospital as a Nursing assistant, a position she held for 29 years. It was during this time the hospital held a contest to name a new slogan. Many people entered this contest and Adine won with, Tri-County Hospital...Working Together for Life. Adine made many friendships through the years at the hospital, some she remained close to still today. Following retirement from the hospital, Adine worked as a Library Assistant at the Lexington Middle School. She was a warm, loving lady who enjoyed having a nice yard, beautiful flowers, dancing, doing crafts, and was known to enjoy a good party. She loved her family more than anything and will be so very missed. Adine was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Survivors include son, Gary (Nancy) Wright of Lexington, Nebraska; daughter, Joan (Jerry) West of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister, Phyllis Jordan of Grand Island, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Todd (Robin) Wright, Jack (Tana) Wright, Jennifer (Scott) Samway, Carson (Kara) Wright, Travis (Danielle) Wright, and Jaycee West; very special friend, Merlin Holden of Lexington, Nebraska; eleven great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceding Adine in death were her parents; husband, Keith; son, Ron; grandson, Brad West; five brothers, Floyd, Leonard, Raymond, Arnold and Delphy Tesmer; and, one sister, Alice Wilsey. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 30, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Jose Chavez celebrating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. with Wake Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to St. Ann’s Catholic Church or Lexington Volunteer Fire Department. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
