Lucille Irene Hagan, 91, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Plum Creek Healthcare Community in Lexington.
She was born August 22, 1923, in Brule, Nebraska to Dewey J. and Leota (Miller) LeDroit. She attended school in Eddyville, Nebraska at District #95.
Lucille was united in marriage to Rawlin L. “Tuffy’ Hagan on January 10, 1939, in Elwood, Nebraska.
Lucille owned and operated Tuffy’s Tavern and Lucille’s Kitchen until 1981, and then went to work at B-D in Holdrege until 1991.
She was very active and past president of the VFW Auxiliary #5136, the Smithfield Village Board for 25 years, and a Girl Scout leader for 12 years. She enjoyed cooking, volunteering, and helped raise three generations.
Lucille had a wonderful sense of humor and loved all people. She had that bright smile and twinkle in her eye that will never be forgotten.
Survivors include her children; Elenar Guthrie of Blountville, TN, Everett “Butch” (Dorothy) Hagan of Lexington, Nebraska, Veronica “Ronnie” (Tommy) Smith of Lexington, Nebraska, Raymond (Sherron) Hagan of Smithfield, Nebraska, and Rawlin “Leon” (Faye) Hagan of Beatrice, Nebraska; grandchildren; Brent Heller, Brian Heller, Mike Highland, Bill Highland, Sheila Hagan Mack, Tim Smith, Terry Smith, Denise Smith Laverack, Dawn Merree Andersen, Sean Hagan, Eric “Cricket” Hagan, Patty Oliver, Crystal Quinn, Missy Saathoff, Susan Bierbaum, and Darin Bierbaum; brother, George (Dee) LeDroit of Michigan; two sisters, Shirley (Dennis) Ogborn of North Platte, Nebraska, and Louise Tridle of North Platte, Nebraska; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and a host of friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tuffy; brothers, Russell, Dewey and Loren LeDroit; grandsons, Dawayne Hagan and Greg Smith.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 31, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at LexChristian Church in Lexington with Pastor Daniel Sauer officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
