Roberto Felix De La Torre, 57, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Lexington Regional Health Center.
Roberto was born February 25, 1958, in Villanueva, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Ramon and Margarita (De LaTorre) Felix. He attended school in Mexico. Roberto was united in marriage to Reyna Orozco on February 7, 1985, in Mexico. Shortly thereafter, the couple came to the United States and in the early 1990’s moved to Lexington.
Roberto worked at Tyson Fresh Meats for the past 22 years. He worked in Processing and attained the position of Brown Hat. He enjoyed his years working at Tyson and made many good friends throughout the years. He never missed a day of work in all those years.
He was a hard-worker and enjoyed working on cars, yardwork, trimming trees, and always keeping busy.
Roberto was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. The family did everything together. Roberto will be so very missed by his loving family and many friends.
He was a member of Dios Es Amor Church.
Survivors include his wife; Reyna Felix of Lexington, Nebraska; four daughters, Erica, Gladys, Yuri, and Margarita Felix all of Lexington, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Belkis Velen Felix, Roberto Felix, and Alfonso Ramirez-Felix all of Lexington, Nebraska; one brother, Jose Felix De La Torre of Villaneuva, Mexico; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Roberto was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandmother who raised him, Canuta.
Funeral Services will be Monday, July 27, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel with Pastor Santoz Ordonez officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 26, 2015, from 1-5 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
