Elizabeth Caroline Thomas, 19, of Lexington, Nebraska, died as a result of a car accident in Lexington, Sunday, July 19, 2015.
Elizabeth was born September 6, 1995, in West Point, Nebraska to Kenneth Thomas and Tonya Scarlett. She attended preschool in Omaha and attended grade school and middle school in Stanton, Columbus and Norfolk. Elizabeth would move to Lexington her freshman year and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 2013. Following High School, Elizabeth worked at Little Caesars in Lexington.
Elizabeth had a contagious smile that would light up a room. She was energetic, loving and very outgoing. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. She loved animals especially horses and her cat, Jorge. Family was also very important to Elizabeth. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her mother, Tonya Rios and Fiancé Jake Hubbard of Lexington, Nebraska, father, Kenneth (Brenda) Thomas of Stanton, Nebraska, brother, Patrick Ahlers of Omaha, Nebraska, two sisters, Dominga Flores & Shantel Hernandez of Lexington, Nebraska, two half-sisters, Rachel & Nicole, one niece she adored, Trinity Varona of Lexington, Nebraska, grandparents, Lori (Larry) Ramirez of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Donald Scarlett, Jr. of Madison, Indiana, Martha (Wally) Hubbard of Lexington, Nebraska, great-grandparents, Clinton (Kathlyn) Nelson of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Jean Scarlett of Grand Island, Nebraska & Jim Scarlett of St. Edward, Nebraska. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many, many friends.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her Uncle Craig Nelson & Cousin Dackotea Olson
Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, July 24, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Jose Chavez, officiating.
Following the Traditional Funeral Service, Cremation will take place and burial will be on Monday, July 27, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington.
