Ramona Munoz

Ramona “Granny” Munoz, 87, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Monday, January 26, 2009, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington. She was born September 6, 1921, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Martin and Lena (Villarruel) Alvarado. Ramona was united in marriage to Salvador Munoz on November 17, 1949, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She moved to Lexington in 1960. She enjoyed cooking, doing ceramics, yard work and crocheting. She also loved being with her family. Survivors include one daughter: Linda Jones of Lexington, Nebraska Four grandchildren: Tomorro Munoz of Arvada, Colorado Tina Jones of Lexington, Nebraska Torrey Jones of North Platte, Nebraska Tonnie & husband Dustin Clouse of Elwood, Nebraska Five great-grandchildren. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Salvador and son, Genaro. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 31, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Hugh Spanel officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ann’s Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Friday, January 30, 2009, from 4-6 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
