Betty J. (Brown) Sells, 77, of Kearney, formerly of Lexington, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
She was born February 23, 1931, in Oquawka, Illinois to Glen and Natrona (Morris) Parsons.
On December 18, 1948, she married Clifford Allen Brown in Gladstone, Illinois. He preceded her in death. From this union six children were born. She was then married to Benjamin Todd Sells on February 27, 1973, in Burlington, Iowa and two children were born to this union.
She enjoyed reading, shopping, walking, and cooking. She also had a collection of Porcelain dolls and Betty Boop.
Betty worked at Plum Creek Care Center, Roepke Care Center, St. Luke’s Care Center, and was a homemaker. She lived at Eastlawn Apartments for several years.

Twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
One brother: Howard Parsons of Oquawka, Illinois
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brother, sister and one great-grandson.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 30, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Lexington Christian Church with Pastor K.C. BeDunnah officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
