Tina M. Gruntorad, 55, of Overton passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born April 10, 1960, in Burlington, Colorado, to Harold and Audrey (Brachtenbach) Eisenbart. Tina attended school in Stratton and graduated from Stratton High School with the class of 1978.
Tina was united in marriage to Dan Gruntorad on September 15, 1979, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Stratton, Colorado. The couple was blessed with three daughters: Joni Ann, Tami Jean & Keri Lea.
Tina and Dan have always resided in Overton. Tina worked at Plectron, was the office manager for All Points Cooperative in Overton and currently was working as the office manager for Bowie Fertilizer in Overton.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed counted cross stitching, cooking, gardening and most importantly spending time with family. She will be greatly missed.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Tina played the organ and clavinova for over thirty seven years at many different churches.
Survivors include her husband, Dan Gruntorad of Overton, Nebraska; children, Joni Thornburg of Kearney, Nebraska, Tami (Seth) Burkey of Lincoln, Nebraska & Keri Gruntorad of Grand Island, Nebraska; parents, Harold & Audrey Eisenbart of Stratton, Colorado; brother, Russ (Jennie) Eisenbart of Granby, Colorado, sisters, Brenda (Jim) Tomes of Burlington, Colorado & Kelly (Theron) Shaffer of Idalia, Colorado; two grandchildren, Makayla & Jackson Thornburg of Kearney, Nebraska; father and mother-in-law, Ed & Isabel Gruntorad of Kearney, Nebraska; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Lloyd) Hickey of Overton, Nebraska, Kathy (Doug) Drew of Riverdale, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Tim (Toni) Gruntorad of Kearney, Nebraska; special aunts, Penny Carpenter of Kearney, Nebraska & Margie Colpitts of Aurora, Colorado; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, especially the “Bunko Babes”.
Tina was preceded in death by her grandparents (Ade and Athalia Brachtenbach) and (John and Alice Eisenbart) and two uncles, Lewis Carpenter & Jim Colpitts
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overton with Reverend Alex Borzych, officiating.
Following the traditional funeral service, cremation will take place and inurnment will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. with Rosary Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overton.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
The family requests friends to wear bright colors and no black in celebrating and honoring Tina’s life.
