Delores F. “Dee” Livingston, 79, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, at her home in Lexington.
Dee was born June 3, 1935, in Cozad, Nebraska, to Richard and Ruby (Russell) Spencer. She attended school at Cozad. Dee was united in marriage to Earnie “Bill” Livingston on May 18, 1952, in Cozad. The couple was blessed with five children; Richard, Barbara, Robert, Tresa, and Michael.
The family moved to Fremont, Nebraska in 1952, they lived there for 20 years. They then lived in Oconto during the 1970’s, and settled in Lexington in the early 1980’s. Dee worked as a cook/waitress most of her working years.
Dee was a wonderful seamstress. She could sew anything. She enjoyed bowling and, for years, took folks to pick up their commodities, get to the grocery store, to doctor’s appointments, or anywhere needed. It was only after losing her eyesight completely, that Dee had to stop helping in that manner.
She was a very kind woman, who loved her family and friends. Dee was a member of LexChristian Church. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include; one brother, Frank (Nancy) Spencer of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one sister, Beulah (Karl) Tiede of Overton, Nebraska; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill in 2012, three sons, Richard, Robert, and Michael, and two daughters, Tresa and Barbara; three sisters, Lois, Linda, and Judy, two brothers, Roger and Virgil, one grandson, Jason, and one great-nephew, T.J.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at LexChristian Church in Lexington with Pastor Daniel Sauer officiating.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.
It was Dee’s wishes her body be cremated following the service. There will be no inurnment.
