They farmed north of Callaway until the Zoerb farm was sold in 1957. They moved to the Whaley farm in Sand Valley which they later purchased a part.
Bill grew wheat, corn and had his stock cows. During the farming years, he started collecting antique cars and tractors. He enjoyed wheeling and dealing. He loved having people come to visit and look at his collection.
Bill loved family dinners, having family and friends come to visit, and was always out to have a good time.
They had a farm equipment sale in October of 1997, and then a car and tractor sale in August of 2004. At that time they sold the farm and moved into Callaway. Bill continued to keep a few cars and sold those in April of 2012.
