James LeRoy Love, 75, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Jennie Melham Memorial Center in Broken bow, Nebraska.
He was born November 20, 1933, at Milburn, Nebraska, to John and Thelma (Dubrey) Love.
He was a cowboy and was employed by several ranches in Cherry County and in his younger days he won a buckle in bronco riding in the Cherry County rodeo.
In 1960, Jim love married Louise Davis. He lived in Callaway with his wife from 1987, until May of 2007. Then they moved to Off Broadway in Broken Bow.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother; his loving wife, Louise; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
James is survived by one sister: Rosella Murphy of North Platte, Nebraska
One brother: Pete Love of Polk, Nebraska
Two sons: Harold (Tammy) Harmon of Kearney, Nebraska
Billy Harmon of Stewart, Nebraska
Four daughters: Betty Mortinsen of Chattanooga, Tennessee
Jean Salvage of Dunlap, Tennessee
Rose Love of Fredonia, Tennessee
Charlotte (Kyle) Wise of Callaway, Nebraska
Eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Jim’s body was cremated. There will be no visitation.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Callaway Community Church with a lunch to follow.
