Juan Avila-Gomez, 66, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at his home in Lexington. He was born May 24, 1948, in San Felipe, Juanto, Mexico, to Epifanio Avila and Gabriela Gomez. Juan moved to the United States 30 years ago. He lived 15 years in Nebraska, and the past 8 years in Lexington. He was previously employed at Tyson Fresh Meats in Lexington in the Processing and Packaging Departments. He was united in marriage to Aura Ramos. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 19, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Iglesia De Dios Camino De Santidad Christian Church in Lexington with Pastor Jorge Cardenas officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Monday prior to the funeral service from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
