Darlene Donna Hamilton

Darlene D. Hamilton, 44, of Callaway, Nebraska, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at her home near Callaway. She was born January 1, 1964, at Ogallala, Nebraska, to Arthur and Theresia (Gross) Durkop. Darlene grew up in Craig, Colorado, where she graduated from Moffat County High School in 1982. She then went to Junior College in Sterling Colorado and graduated from there in 1984. Following that she attended Mesa St. College graduating in 1987. She was united in marriage to Ray Hamilton on May 6, 1989. Three children were blessed to this union; Kimberly, Julia, and Stetson. While living in Colorado Darlene was a Range Technician for the White River National Forest near Meeker, Colorado. She also worked various jobs before she became a housewife. The couple lived in many different places before settling in Callaway in 2008. She enjoyed horseback riding and hunting, especially deer and Elk. Darlene also liked dancing, and gardening, especially her flower beds. But her pride and joy were her children, she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Callaway Community Church. Survivors include her husband: Ray Hamilton of Callaway, Nebraska Two daughters: Kimberly Hamilton of Callaway, Nebraska Julia Hamilton of Callaway, Nebraska One son: Stetson Hamilton, of Callaway, Nebraska Her father: Arthur Durkop, of Craig, Colorado One brother: Henery and wife Mindi Durkop of Craig, Colorado Four sisters: Linda and husband Terry Behrman of Craig, Colorado Rita and husband Jay Harris of Craig, Colorado Nancy and husband James Bohrer of Craig, Colorado Marie and husband Joe Tamburello of Aurora, Colorado Darlene was preceded in death by her mother Theresia and brother Larry. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 10, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Callaway Community Church in Callaway, with Pastor Dean Haidle, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Callaway. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 9, 2008, at Timm-Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Callaway from 3-5 p.m. The casket will be closed.
