Nora Mendez

Nora Mendez, 43, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014, at her home in Lexington, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 14, 1971, in El Salvador to Ana Mendez. She moved to Lexington in 2000 from Dallas, Texas. Nora loved to cook, camp, and fish. Her greatest joy was being with family and friends. She loved her church and was a member of Camino De Santida Christian Church in Lexington. Nora was a beautiful lady inside and out, she had a wonderful personality and a smile that could light up a room. She will be so very missed. Survivors include her Soul mate; Rony E. Grijalva-Piedrasanta of Lexington, Nebraska; two sons, Dennis Mendez of Lexington, Nebraska and Elenilson Mendez of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Astrid and Madeley Mendez of El Salvador; one grandson, Oscar of El Salvador; one brother and three sisters who live in El Salvador and one sister, Deyci Mendez in New York. Nora was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 19, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Camino De Santida Christian Church in Lexington, Nebraska. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, December 18, 2014, starting at 2:00 p.m. at Camino De Santida Christian Church with Pastor Jorge Cardenas officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery east of Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the family. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
