Mia Jane Larson

Mia Jane Larson, 17 months, of rural Lexington, Nebraska, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, October 23, 2014, with her family by her side, at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Mia was born May 1, 2013, at Lexington, Nebraska, to Parker Bo and Heather Dawn (Alexander) Larson. Mia loved waving at her family and friends, saying “no”, giving kisses and sharing many smiles. She was with us for a short time, but her memory will last a lifetime. Mia is survived by her parents; Parker and Heather of Lexington, Nebraska; one brother, Ty Larson of Lexington, Nebraska; maternal grandparents; Jane Donadio and Tom Spiker of Holdrege, Nebraska; paternal grandparents; Tom and Deaetta Larson of Overton, Nebraska; maternal grandfathers; Tom Spiker of Holdrege, Nebraska; and, Bill Kirkland of Kearney, Nebraska; great-grandmothers; Jean Larson of Lexington, Nebraska; Norma Eby of Overton, Nebraska and Dot Barber of Bertrand, Nebraska; great-great-grandma, Helen Pinner of Holdrege, Nebraska; aunts; Tara Packer of St. Joseph, Missouri; Candice Spiker of Holdrege, Nebraska; uncle, Michael Spiker of Holdrege, Nebraska and cousin, Alexis Packer of St. Joseph, Missouri; as well as many other relatives, caretakers and friends. Mia was preceded in death by her great-grandparents. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Reverend Dennis Wheeler officiating. Burial will be held in the Overton Cemetery following lunch at the church. Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
