Harold Q. “Buck” Moler, 82, of Minden, Nebraska, died Thursday, October 9, 2008, at Minden Long Term Care in Minden, Nebraska.
He was born November 2, 1925, at O’Neill, Nebraska, to Vincent and Clara (Rhode) Moler. He grew up in the O’Neill area and entered the United States Navy during WWII. Harold served his Country from January 7, 1943 to August 10, 1945.
Harold was united in marriage to Patricia Coble on November 12, 1945, at Lawrence, Kansas. Five children were blessed to this marriage; David, Dennis, Jerry, Brenda and Beverly. The couple raised their family in Hastings, Nebraska where he worked for Hastings Irrigation, owned Moler Construction Company and was a founding member of Hastings Pork.
The couple retired to Johnson Lake, Nebraska where Harold worked for Nebraska Plastics in Cozad, Nebraska, and owned and operated Buck’s Marine.
He enjoyed living at the lake, boating, skiing, and being with his family and enjoying his customers.
Harold was a member of the Catholic faith.

Two daughters: Brenda & Warren Jones of Beatrice, Nebraska
Beverly & Lyn Wagner of Lexington, Nebraska
Three brothers: John & Mary Ann Moler of Casper, Wyoming
Thomas Moler of Sun City, Arizona
Clem Moler of Kimball, Nebraska
Two Sisters: Ann Lanninger of Cheyenne, Wyoming
Marie & Delbert Roller of Loveland, Colorado
Eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia in 1998; one brother, James; and three sisters, Theresa Ernst, Neva Rand and Agnes Allison.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Reverend Paul Colling officiating.
Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. that same afternoon at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Honors by the Cozad Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 13, 2008, from 3-5 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
