Patty Ann Tische, 81, of Johnson Lake, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014, at her home. Patty unselfishly donated her body for medical research to the Nebraska Anatomical Board.
She was born April 15, 1933, at Mitchell, Nebraska, to George Harry and Susie Ellen (Bowman) Guyette. Patty attended school at Mitchell. She was united in marriage to James Tische on October 14, 1954, at Mitchell. Three children were blessed to this marriage; Roxanna, Kirk and Denise.
The couple moved to Lincoln after they were married. While in Lincoln, Patty worked in the bakery at Miller & Paine. She also worked at Brandeis, Gold’s, and King’s Restaurant. She also helped students at Meadow Lane Elementary School.
In 1988, the couple moved to Johnson Lake, where they made many wonderful friends and enjoyed lake living. Patty attended the Chapel of the Lake and was a member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church in Lincoln.
Patty had many interests and hobbies; which included, crocheting, knitting, tatting, string art cards, fishing, sewing, cooking and baking.
Family was the most important part of her life. She enjoyed traveling to 48 states, Canada and Mexico in their travel trailer. They were members of the Rolling Eagles Camping Club of Nebraska. She always had her four-legged friends as part of the family also. Patty will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband; James Tische of Johnson Lake; daughters; Roxanna (Allen) Kempkes of Bellevue, Nebraska; and, Denise (Duane) Want of Walton, Nebraska; three grandchildren; Casey Tische; Dr. Ross and wife Jessica Miller of Kansas City, Missouri; and, Patrick Miller and fiancee’ Madlyn Bromwich of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother, Charles Guyette of Golden, Colorado; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Tische of Lincoln, Nebraska; as well as other relatives and friends and grand-dogs.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kirk Tische; brother, Delbert Guyette; sister, Louise Graham; son-in-law, Roland Miller and many four-legged friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at LexChristian Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Daniel Sauer officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
