Donald Charles Koach, 76, of North Platte, formerly of the Overton area, died Friday August 15, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Donald was born September 27, 1937, in Anselmo, Nebraska to Jack Balance and Leona Irene (Hickey) Koach.
He married Evelyn Clark in 1960 in Elwood, Nebraska. Two daughters were blessed to this marriage; Jackie and Marie. They would later divorce in 1969. Donald was a farm hand and the family lived in many towns throughout central Nebraska pending on where Don was working.
Donald was a true outdoorsmen, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked to build and tinker on things.
He is survived by his daughters, Jackie and husband Brad Widick of Gothenburg, Nebraska and Marie Koach of Arizona; one brother, George and wife Dana Koach of Holdrege, Nebraska; two sisters; Irene Hendershot of Spokane, Washington and Margaret and husband Roger Worley of North Platte, Nebraska; seven grandchildren & nine great-grandchildren
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Viola Steinson and Mary Piel; brother, Wayne Wheeler
As per his wishes, he was cremated. There will be a graveside service pending notification of family.
