Sondra K. Naumann, 67, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Lexington Regional Health Center.
She was born October 9, 1946, in Lexington, Nebraska, to William and Ellen (Sage) Pierce. Sondra graduated from St. Ann’s High School in Lexington in 1964. She then went to Beauty School and worked as a Beautician for many years. She also did housecleaning, was the mortuary hairdresser for years and helped out wherever she was needed.
Sondra was united in marriage to Bill Orcutt on July 25, 1969, in Lexington, two girls were born to this marriage; Amy and Ashley. She was then married to Ron Naumann on July 6, 1985, in Lexington. She welcomed Ron’s daughters, Michelle and Lea to the family.
She enjoyed being active and was a member of the Jaycees for a time. Sondra loved gardening, reading, crafts, shopping, sewing, cross-stitching, and was always decorating. She enjoyed being busy and working with her hands. Her family, especially the grandchildren, always put a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye. She fondly remembered her customers and many became life-long friends.
Sondra was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington.
Sondra is survived by her husband Ron of Lexington, Nebraska; daughters, Michelle and husband Corey Matis of Omaha, Nebraska; Lea and husband Matt Neil of Cozad, Nebraska; Amy and husband Kent Bauer of Lincoln, Nebraska; and, Ashley and husband Justin Childears of North Platte, Nebraska; nine grandchildren; Taylor and Lauren Matis; Lindsey and Ty Rogers; Nate Neil; Blake and Morgan Bauer; and, Celie and Ceiden Childears; uncle, Roger and wife Nancy Sage of Arizona; sisters-in-law, Chris and husband Pat Vieyra of North Platte, Nebraska; Joyce and husband Dave Wolfe of Overton, Nebraska; Ladena and husband Fred Seger of Maine; and, Leola German of Arizona; she is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Cainey Childears.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington with Pastor Rob Kuefner officiating. The casket will be closed at the church.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington.
