Guadalupe Lopez, 71, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Lexington Regional Health Center.
She was born January 15, 1943, in Tecolotlan, Jalisco, Mexico, to Francisco and Concepcion Lopez-Prado.
Guadalupe moved to Lexington in 2001, from Baja, California to help with her granddaughters because her daughter was sick with leukemia. Patricia passed away in 2002.
She worked at Monsanto in Kearney for 7 years. Guadalupe enjoyed cooking, keeping her home and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
Guadalupe was a faithful member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband Ramon of Lexington, Nebraska; granddaughters, Natalia and Sophia Espinoza of Lexington, Nebraska; son-in-law, Luis Espinoza of Lexington, Nebraska, and many, many friends.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia and sister, Rosario Lopez.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 3, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Reverend Jorge Canela officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014, from 2-5 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.
