Wilma May Zoerb

April 21, 1919 — June 21, 2008

Wilma May Zoerb, 89, of Callaway, Nebraska, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at the Callaway Good Samaritan Center in Callaway. She was born April 21, 1919, at Finchville, Nebraska, to Howard W. and Rosa A. (Halouska) Hill. Wilma attended school at Finchville and was united in marriage to Leonard Zoerb on May 22, 1927, at Lexington, Nebraska. Wilma and Leonard lived in California for a time where she worked for the War Plant and owned and operated a motel in North Hollywood, California. The couple returned to Nebraska where Leonard and Wilma farmed and Wilma worked 15 years for the Callaway Good Samaritan Center as their cook. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Callaway and the Arnold Rebekah Lodge #325. Wilma was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and dearly enjoyed spending time with her loving family and circle of friends. Survivors include one daughter: Rosellen (Gold) Curtis of Simi Valley, California One daughter-in-law: Linda Zoerb of Colorado Springs, Colorado Four grandchildren: Rheann Roman of Montrose, Colorado Kevin (Sylvia) Zoerb of Wichita, Kansas Kirk (Cathy) Zoerb of Wichita, Kansas Kelly Zoerb of Colorado Springs, Colorado Four great-grandchildren: Charyse Autymn Emmons, and Sera Jolene Romans of Montrose, Colorado; Vanessa Renae Zoerb of Wichita, Kansas; Caiden Noah Zoerb of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Special Friends: Tom & Carol Kennedy of Callaway, Nebraska Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law: Bill & AnnaBelle Zoerb of Callaway, Nebraska Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; brother, Bill Hill and son, Ron Zoerb. Services will be Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Callaway, Nebraska with Reverend Jerry Schwarz officiating. Burial will be in the Waldheim Cemetery at Callaway. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008, from 5-7 p.m. at Timm-Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Callaway. Memorials are suggested to the Callaway Good Samaritan Center. Timm-Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Callaway is in charge of arrangements.
