Margaret A. Schultz, 97, of Kearney, formerly of Lexington, Nebraska, died on Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the Mother Hull Home in Kearney, Nebraska. She was born on June 8, 1916, in Cambridge, Nebraska, to Charles & Mary Jane (Carpenter) Crapser. Margaret attended high school in Holbrook and graduated with the class of 1935. She was united in marriage to Paul Schultz on February 25, 1942, in Beaver City, Nebraska. Three children were blessed to this union: Margaret Esther, Ruth Elaine & Paul Lavern. Margaret and Paul lived in Hendley, Nebraska, when they were married and moved to Wilsonville in 1943, where Margaret helped at a care home. In 1964, the family moved and worked on a farm north of Loomis. In 1968, Margaret and Paul moved to Lexington where both of them worked at Westside Care home. Margaret always enjoyed activities with her children. She was a 4-H leader for 18 years, she also enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, canning & jig-saw puzzles. When Paul was alive they spent a lot of time traveling in their motor home. Survivors include her two daughters: Margaret Esther Seidlitz and her significant other Bernard Griffing of Kearney, Nebraska, Ruth Elaine and husband Larry Solomon of Kearney, Nebraska; daughter-in-law: Celirena Schultz of Fairfield, California; ten grandchildren: Mark and wife Felisa Hanthorn of Omaha, Nebraska, Mary and husband Toby Holmes of LaVista, Nebraska, Ronnie and wife Zoraida of Benicia, California, Julie and husband Bryan Royale of Kearney, Nebraska, Jack and wife Caitlyn Solomon of Elm Creek, Nebraska, Joseph and wife Amy Solomon of Kearney, Nebraska, Lori and significant other Cory Benson of Kearney, Nebraska, Tom Solomon and significant other Trista Creff of Gibbon, Nebraska, Lee and significant other Deidra Gidcumb of Kearney & David Solomon of Kearney, Nebraska; sixteen great-grandchildren; one nephew: Charles and wife Donna Ridpath of Big Springs, Texas Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul; son Paul; grandson Karl Joe & sister Hazel. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with Reverend Gary Main, officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the Mother Hull Home in Kearney or Donor’s Choice. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
