Douglas Scott Torrance

Douglas Scott Torrance, 62, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Plum Creek Healthcare Community in Lexington, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born January 14, 1951, at Eglin AFB, Florida, to Jack and LaDonna (Frank) Torrance. Doug moved to Lexington as a boy where he attended grade school, junior high and high school, graduating with the class of 1969. In 1973, he moved to Montana and returned to his hometown of Lexington in 2001. He was a kind man who thought the world of his family and was a generous friend who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include two brothers; Bill (Donna) Torrance of Naples, Florida; and, Larry Doughty of Lexington, Nebraska; one sister, Cindy (Lonnie Dee) Highland of Loveland, Colorado; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, John. It was Doug’s wishes that his body be cremated. The family has honored those wishes. A Private Family Celebration will be held at a later date. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
