Helen I. Price

Helen I. Price, 84, of Harvard, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Harvard Rest Haven. She was born August 1, 1929, in Palmer, Nebraska, to Albert C. and Thelma D. (Robinson) Johnson. She attended school at Palmer. She was united in marriage to F.E. Price, Jr. on September 7, 1946, at Norton, Kansas. Three children were blessed to this marriage; Twila, Marcia and Terry. The families moved to the Lexington area in 1940. Helen worked for several care homes and cafés as well as working for over 20 years at Monroe Auto in Cozad. She retired and F.E. and her grew beautiful flowers in their yard, she enjoyed doing needlepoint and watching the children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. They moved to Harvard in August of 2001, F.E. died in 2002, and Helen enjoyed her remaining time in assisted living in Harvard where she loved playing Bingo and visiting with the other residents. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be so very missed. Helen is survived by her children; Marcia (Gerald) Refior of Lexington, Nebraska; son, Terry E. Price of Harvard, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Larry Refior, David Refior, Kirk Stieb, Kris Stieb, Channon Price and RaChelle Young; thirteen great-grandchildren, Natasha, Nathan, Jacob, Zachary, Stone, Tyson, Brianna, Chase, Jaessica, Wyatt, Cameron, Natalee and Ann Marie. One step-great-grandson, Brock. Helen was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by her parents; daughter, Twila Stieb; two brothers, Richard and Albert Johnson and sister, Dorothy Earl. Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 19, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
