Merit L. Bell

Merit L. Bell, 80, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013, in Lincoln. He was born to Marvin “Hap” Bell and Doraleen (Reid) Bell in the town of Norcatur, Kansas. He was an active member of Word of Life Church in Lincoln. Merit was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. To the many who knew him he was an all-around great guy. He is survived by his wife Doris (Ebke) Jordening Bell and children, Merit L. (LuAnn) Bell, Sherry Richter (Chris Sillanpaa), Cynthia Cusick, Allen (Jayne) Bell, Jeffrey (MeLissa) Bell, David (Jill) Bell, Daniel (Bobbi) Bell, Timothy (Connie) Jordening, Jonathan (Carol) Jordening, Heidi (Phil) Beardshear, Vicki Blocher, Deanna Burmood, and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Holy Savior Lutheran Church, Lincoln, 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013, 10th & Superior Streets. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Lexington, Nebraska, Thursday, September 19, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Peoples City Mission or Word of Life Church, Lincoln, Nebraska.
