Else F. Biehl, 94, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington. She was born March 30, 1914, on the farm in rural Lexington, Nebraska, to Adolf and Henney (Seehusen) Rickertsen. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1932. On March 11, 1934, Else married Wesley Biehl at Lexington, Nebraska. To this union three children were born: Jim, Bernice, and Buss. Else spent most of her life on the farm where she was secretary for Biehl Cattle Company for many years. Else also did volunteer work on a monthly basis at Tri-County Hospital and Westside Care Home. She was also very active in the community. She was a member of the Extension Club, Woman’s Club, Business and Professional Woman’s Club. Else was a 4-H leader for many years and past president of the “Make it yourself with Wool” project. Else was known for her quilting, she was very talented and made one for every niece and nephew. She also enjoyed working on her lawn and flower gardens. But, most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Survivors include two sons: Jim and Marilyn Biehl of Lexington, Nebraska Buss and Casey Biehl of Kearney, Lexington One daughter: Bernice and Phillip Pebley of Cozad, Nebraska Else F. Several nieces, nephews and many friends. Else was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley in 1988; three brothers, Henry, Chris, and Carl; and a great-grandson, Jason Lans. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Lexington with Pastor Caroline Vickery, officiating. The casket will be closed at the church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Memorials are kindly suggested to the First Presbyterian Church or Donor’s Choice. Reynolds Love Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
