Marvin Eugene “Butch” Loschen, 54, of Murray, Utah, died unexpectedly Friday, April 11, 2008, at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania of natural causes.
He was born March 24, 1954, at Lexington, Nebraska, to Marvin O. and Patsy L. (Wing) Loschen. He was the oldest of three children, on the day he was born his grandmother nicknamed him “Butch” much to his mother’s chagrin. By the time he started kindergarten, he was known by all as Butch.
Butch was a 1972, graduate of Deshler High School. He enlisted in the Army after graduation and served his country from 1972 to 1975. After his military service, truck driving became his way of life. Butch began working for C.R. England in 1986, as a company driver. Then in 1997, he signed on as an owner/operator . His dispatcher said that he was a “very dedicated driver” and would do anything asked of him. He was quiet and always got the job done. He was commended for several safety awards during his career including a 20-year safety award and a 2 million mile award. He went by the handle, “Hot Shot”.
Butch was married to Kay (Berry) Crespin in 1979, and was later divorced. This union was blessed with a very special daughter, Heather. Heather later blessed him with his only grandson, Augustine.
He spent so much time of the road that his favorite hobby was his driving. He spent countless hours at truckstops where he loved to play the Sega Horse Racing game. He also enjoyed computers and Sci-Fi movies.
Butch was greatly loved by many and his passing is a great loss.

His daughter: Heather Loschen of Murray, Utah
His sister: Susan (John) Lepert of Plattsmouth, Nebraska
One grandson: Augustine Garcia of Murray, Utah
Butch was preceded in death by his grandparents; George and Irene Loschen and Wilmetta Daniels and an infant sister, Tammie.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 18, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Megan Morrow officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 17, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Following the funeral service, Butch’s body will be cremated with Inurnment to be held Saturday, April 18, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Loschen Family for an Education Fund for his grandson, Augustine.
