Raymond Edward Linden, 95, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at the Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington, surrounded by his family.
He was born October 19, 1917, in Litchfield, Nebraska, to Henry and Inez (Spiker) Linden. He attended school at Litchfield. Ray was united in marriage to Helen Benjamin in 1948, in Duluth, MN. Six children were blessed to this marriage; Bonnie, Ronnie, Danny, Bobby, Roger and Donna. The marriage would later end in divorce.
Raymond’s working years were spent at Racine Foundry and American Motors in Racine, Wisconsin, farming and local hay mills.
He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Lexington as well as being active in the men’s group.
Survivors include his children; Bonnie (Gene) Holbrook of Lexington, Nebraska; Ronnie (Judy) Linden of Lexington, Nebraska; Danny Linden of Lincoln, Nebraska; Bobby (Janice) Linden of Cozad, Nebraska; Roger Linden of Lexington, Nebraska; seventeen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Verna Schue; daughter, Donna; daughter-in-law, Carol Linden and two great-grandchildren.
The family has chosen cremation. There will be no service at this time. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.
