Terry Lynn Flesner, 46, of Smithfield, Nebraska, died as the result of a motorvehicle accident on Interstate 80, near Overton, Nebraska, on Monday, March l7, 2008.
He was born August l4, 1961, at Kearney, Nebraska, to Fred and Phyllis (Schulz) Flesner. Terry was united in marriage to Jaci Lyman on November 15, 2000, at Gillette, Wyoming.
Terry worked for Wendell Farms as a farmhand in the Smithfield area. He was considered to be a “jack of all trades”, whether it was crawling under a vehicle to being on top of a roof. He was never afraid to get his hands dirty.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and playing darts, and anything involved in being outdoors.
Terry also loved being around his family and friends as much as he could.
Survivors include his wife: Jaci Flesner of Smithfield, Nebraska.
His mother: Phyllis Flesner of Republican City, Nebraska
Two sons: Freddie (Andrea) Flesner of Roseau, Minnesota
Justin Flesner of Roosevelt, Minnesota
Two daughters: Angie Flesner of Holdrege, Nebraska
Tara Flesner of Roosevelt, Minnesota
Four grandchildren: Gabriel, Zachary, Mikaela and Andrianna.
One sister: Arvenia (Rich) Weaver of Duncan, Nebraska
Additional survivors include: Three nephews, two nieces, five grand-nephews and one great-niece.
Terry was preceded in death by his grandmother, Audrie Hankins; his father, Fred; an infant brother, Fred and one sister, Janis Riley.
Terry’s body was cremated and there will be no visitation.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 24, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Cathi Braasch officiating.
Another Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 24, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Smithfield, Nebraska with Pastor Cathi Braasch officiating.
