Ramiro Prado Reyes, 20, of Lexington, Nebraska, was called to Heaven on Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington. He was born November 15, 1987, at El Ahuate, Michoacan, Mexico, to Ramiro Prado and Emelia Reyes. Ramiro moved with his family to Lexington in 1996. He was an active, smart and popular student, graduating from Lexington High School with the class of 2006. While in high school he participated in soccer. Following graduation from high school, Ramiro moved to Hastings and was attending Hastings Community College, ready to graduate in May, 2008. Ramiro was active in the Multi-cultural Student Association. He was able to attend the United States Hispanic Leadership Conference in Chicago. Ramiro had also returned to Lexington High School as part of the college’s recruiting team. He also served as a Resident Assistant at Hastings. He will be so very missed by his loving family and many, many friends. Survivors include his parents of Lexington. Four brothers: Arturo, David, Mario and Jesus, all at home. His grandparents: Diego and Rosalina Reyes Serrano of San Benito, Mich., Mexico Jose and Angelina Prado Ceja of El Ahuate, Mich, Mexico Special Friend: Kirsten Plunkett of Lexington, Nebraska Aunts, uncles, cousins and many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 20, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Parish Center in Lexington, Nebraska with Father Paul Colling officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ann’s Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2008, from 1-6 p.m. with Wake Service at 6:00 p.m. all at the St. Ann’s Parish Center. Memorials are suggested to the Family.
