Clara N. Boggs, 95, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington.
Clara was born August 7, 1917, in Cozad, Nebraska, to Lloyd C. and Emma (Selk) Jolliffe.
She attended school in Cozad and lived her entire life in the Cozad/Lexington area. Clara was united in marriage to Darrel Boggs on May 15, 1937, in Norton, Kansas. Four children were blessed to this marriage.
Clara spent 17 years working at Coast to Coast in Lexington, and 18 years beautifying the ladies of Lexington by selling Avon. She was a faithful member of the Berean Bible Church in Lexington. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Clara is survived by her children; son, Frank (Donna) Boggs of Bertrand, Nebraska; daughters, Darla (Melvin) Bye of Overton, Nebraska; Artie (Irl) Smith of Lexington, Nebraska; and, Linda (Wayne) Maaske of Bertrand, Nebraska; sister, Naomi Patterson of Lexington, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrel in 1989; three brothers, Glen, Vernon and Lloyd Jolliffe; two sisters, Mildred Hansen and Marie Lauby; as well as a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 15, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Berean Bible Church in Lexington with Pastor Duane Russell officiating.
Burial will be in the Cozad Cemetery at Cozad, Nebraska.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
