Bert Eugene Ogg, 82, of Madrid, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Perkins County Hospital in Grant, Nebraska.
He was born June 16, 1930, in Custer County, Nebraska to Fredrick Charles and Leota Marie (Mason) Ogg. Bert attended school in Cozad, Nebraska and lived in the Cozad/Lexington area most of his life, until moving to Madrid to be near his son. He was partners with Tom Hampton in the construction business in Ogallala, Nebraska for many years.
Bert was united in marriage to Lee Ann Smith on May 2, 1953, in North Platte, Nebraska. She preceded him in death in 2002.
Bert enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a past member of the Eagles Club in Lexington.
Survivors include two sons; Wayne (Donna) Ogg of Madrid, Nebraska and Clifford Ogg of Madrid, Nebraska; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren as well as one brother, Jerry (Sharon) Ogg of Stockton, California.
Bert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lee Ann; grandson, Christopher Ogg; two sisters, Zelma Titus and Carol Ogg; and four brothers, Francis, Kenny, Charles and Roland Ogg.
It was Bert’s wishes that his body be cremated. There will be no visitation.
A Graveside Memorial Inurnment Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Viola Cemetery near Eddyville, Nebraska with Pastor Ken Hutson officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.
