Lanona Marie Krueger, 49, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Friday, December 21, 2012, at Lexington Regional Health Center. She was born May 1, 1963, in Broken Bow, Nebraska, to William and Marion (Barnes) Copper. Lanona attended school at Stapleton. She moved to Lexington 21 years ago and spent her working years at Orthman Manufacturing, Pump & Pantry, Del’s Country Store, Tyson, Walmart, Caseys and Conoco. Lanona’s health issues forced her to retire. She loved to crochet and read, but most especially to be with her grandkids. She attended St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington. Lanona loved also spending time with her friends and family, helping in any way she could. She is survived by three daughters: Jessica Geesey and her fiancé Rusty of Fulton, Illinois; Kayla McDonald of Overton, Nebraska; Deserea Krueger of Overton, Nebraska; one brother, William Copper, Jr. of Lexington, Nebraska; one sister: Mary Brakeman of Americus, Kansas; five grandchildren, Brylie & Lila Geesey, Kaiden and Zayne McDonald and Trevor Araujo; three step-grandchildren, Haleigh, Cody and Audrey Littlejohn and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Lanona was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leo Kermit; and daughter, Darla Krueger. Lanona’s body has been cremated and there will be no visitation. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at a later date in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the Family. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
