Doris M. Carroll, 94, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012, at her home in Lexington.
Doris was born February 5, 1918, in Solomon, Kansas to George L. and Augusta L. (Luke) Cryderman.
Doris moved to Lexington where she went to work for the REA. It was during this time she met and married Delbert Carroll. The couple was married May 25, 1948, at Lexington. Two daughters were blessed to this marriage, Peggy Ann and Christine Louise.
When the girls were in school Doris went to work as an Account Representative for Home Federal Savings & Loan, a position she held for nearly 20 years.
Doris was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Chapter AN PEO. She enjoyed doing puzzles and playing cards and games with the kids.
Survivors include her daughters and their families; Peggy (Dave) Hanna of Lexington, Nebraska; Christine Carroll of Kearney, Nebraska; grandsons, Robb (Erin) Hanna of Lexington, Nebraska; Greg (Brooke) Hanna of Lexington, Nebraska; three great-grandchildren; Eva and Jonas Martin of Lexington, Nebraska and Jackson Hanna of Lexington, Nebraska.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert in August, 2012; four brothers, Raymond, Arnold, Roy and Robert Cryderman and three sisters, Marie Sherman, Gloria Sexton and Genevieve Grubbs.
Memorial Services will be Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Reverend Tess Hufford officiating.
Burial will be held prior in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church or Lexington Volunteer Fire Department.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
