Dorothy R. Baradics, 97, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Dorothy was born June 25, 1915, in Lexington, Nebraska to Jacob and Myrtle (Hollibaugh) Hofferber. She was a 1933 graduate of Lexington High School. Following her schooling Dorothy moved to Buffalo, New York, where she met and married her husband, Joe Baradics. The couple settled in Clearwater, Florida, where Dorothy worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Goodyear Tire Company. Dorothy owned a home in Lexington for the past 20 years where she spent her summers. In 2010, she returned to Lexington to live fulltime and moved to Park Avenue Estates. She enjoyed being home near family and friends. She enjoyed playing bridge and knitting. Survivors include two nephews: Jim (Tony) Smith of Colorado Springs, CO David Smith (special friend Peggy) of Glendale, CA Three nieces: Linda (Don) Anthony of Lexington, NE Janet (Norman) Nott of Grand Island, NE Lori (Kim) Kitzing of Gothenburg, NE Dorothy is also survived by several grandnieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; twin sister, Gladys and brother, Bill. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, September 10, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington with Reverend Caroline Vickery officiating. Visitation will be prior to the Graveside Service from 1-2 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. A Memorial has been established to the Family for later designation.
