Dina Cortez

Dina Cortez, 88, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012, at her home in Lexington. She was born March 19, 1924, in San Salvador, El Salvador, to Isabel and Dolores (Martinez) Cortez. Dina moved to Lexington in 1993 from California with her daughter and grandson. She helped raise her grandson and so enjoyed being with her family and friends. She loved music, attending church, cooking and cleaning. Dina will be so very missed. Survivors include two daughters; Marta “Sonia” Moran and husband Antonio Sanchez of Lexington, Nebraska; Maria Luz Moran of Calgary, Canada; one grandson, Jesus and wife Teresa Tena of Lexington, Nebraska; three granddaughters, Evelyn, Anna Margarita and Ada Alegre Moran and three great-grandchildren, Deanna, Mariani & Hector Tena. Dina was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel Hormachea officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Friday, August 3, 2012, from 4-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
