Ellsworth Alven Clyde, 77, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at the WEL-Life at Plum Creek in Lexington.
He was born June 1, 1935, in McGrew, Nebraska to Cyrus E. and Zena (Evans) Clyde.
Ellsworth was a 1952 graduate of Spencer High School. He was baptized in Spalding, Nebraska and worked as a farmhand while living in Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Colorado.
Ellsworth loved to visit with family and friends. He enjoyed watching TV, especially Western movies and Chihuahua dogs.
He is survived by three sisters: Irene (Marion) Mason of Eustis, Nebraska
Alvina Avery of Lincoln, Nebraska
Wilma “June” Swanson of York, Nebraska
Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Ellsworth was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Velma Gray and an infant brother.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Megan Morrow officiating.
Burial will be that same afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Grandview Cemetery in Spalding, Nebraska with Reverend Raymond Avidano officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Spalding Senior Center.
