Ruth Woehrle, 84, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Lexington Regional Health Center in Lexington, Nebraska.
Ruth was born September 24, 1927, at Bridgeport, Nebraska to Alex Schneider and Amelia (Moore) Schneider.
Ruth attended school at Cozad, Nebraska. On November 22, 1943, she married Arnold Woehrle and to this union four children were born. Ruth was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family trucking company, Woehrle Transfer, Inc. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Ruth enjoyed making quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She so enjoyed her flowers, gardening, feeding the birds; but, her real passion in life was playing Bingo!
Survivors include one son: Richard (JoAnn) Woehrle of Lexington, Nebraska
Three daughters: Carolyn Parker of Gothenburg, Nebraska
Linda (Paul) Christensen of Broomfield, Colorado
Cindy (Mike) Hendricks of Lexington, Nebraska
One sister: Esther Reinhardt of North Platte, Nebraska
Three sisters-in-law: Freida Schneider of Cozad, Nebraska; June Woehrle of Lexington, Nebraska and Marie Woehrle of North Glenn, Colorado
Ten grandchildren: Kim (Tom) Dewey of Gothenburg, NE; Tracy (Mark) Lichtenwalter of Cozad, NE; Barbara Albertson of Gothenburg, NE; Danielle (Judd) Dickman of Lexington, NE; Chad (Karrie) Woehrle of Eustis, NE; David (Jill) Christensen of Lochubie, CO: Angela (Dennis) Heim of Thornton, CO; Brian, Jennifer, Matthew Hendricks of Lexington, NE.
Ten great-grandchildren: Tyrell & Morgan Dewey; Alex Parker; Latasha, Ryan, Nathaniel Albertson; Camden & Jayden Dickman; Madison Woehrle & Adrianna Hendricks.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Arnold; parents, Alex & Amelia; seven brothers, one sister and one son-in-law, Larry Parker.
Funeral Services will be Friday, May 11, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Reverend Rob Kuefner officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to Special Olympics or Trinity Lutheran Church.
