Mark Alan Schievelbein, 42, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at his home in Lexington. Mark was born June 25, 1969, in Lebanon, Missouri to Lyle and Ramona (Shepherd) Schievelbein. When he was four the family moved to Elwood, Nebraska, where he grew up. He was active in school sports and loved to wrestle. He graduated from Elwood High School with the class of 1988. Mark was active in Boy Scouts and was proud of the fact that he earned his Eagle Scout. He earned his degree from Mid-Plains Community College in Auto-body repair. He loved to work on cars and especially motorcycles. He married Marica Radke on July 25, 1992. Four children were blessed to this marriage; Ashley, Alex, Hannah, and Joshua. Mark lived in Lexington, Nebraska for the past 15 years with his special partner, Peggy McLain. He spent the last 7 years driving over the road for Central Refrigerated Trucking and Hinz Trucking until last year when he became unable to work due to an injury. He is survived by his mom: Ramona Schievelbein of Elwood, Nebraska. His grandmother: Grace Godfrey of Elwood, Nebraska. Two brothers: Michael (Leisa) Schievelbein of Arvada, Colorado Eric (Michelle) Schievelbein of Omaha, Nebraska His children: Tiffany Waller of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Ricky Dewey of Brady, Nebraska; Ashley, Alex, Hannah, and Joshua Schievelbein of Chappell, Nebraska. Special Partner: Peggy McLain of Lexington, Nebraska. Nephews & Nieces: Tyler Wilson, Anthony and Natalie Schievelbein, and Quinton and Moorea Schievelbein. Mark was preceded in death by his dad, Lyle Schievelbein; brother, Ronald Schievelbein; grandparents, Arthur Schievelbein, Genevieve Schievelbein Wendland, and Vernon Shepherd. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 4, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at the Elwood United Methodist Church in Elwood, Nebraska with Reverend Connie Karr officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Elwood, Nebraska. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the Family for his children’s education. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
