Gustavo Vargas Carrasco, 39, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney with his family by his side.
He was born May 29, 1972, in Villachuato, Michoacan, Mexico, to Salvador and Maria Consuelo Carrasco Vargas.
Gustavo lived in California for 17 years, but would come to Lexington often to visit his family. Three years ago Gustavo made Lexington his home. He enjoyed being with his family. He was a self-taught contractor and mechanic and his passion was working on cars. It was always Gustavo’s dream to own his own semi and travel to Mexico.

Leticia (Armando) Guido of Lexington, Nebraska
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Gustavo was preceded in death by his brother, Silvestre; one nephew, Kevin Vargas and one niece, Estafany Vargas Ramirez
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Paul Colling officiating
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington
Visitation will be held Monday, April 30, 2012, from 3-6 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. all at St. Ann’s Catholic Church
